Spring blooms from Winter’s bones and life has finally stirred awake...
The sun’s shining, the birds are singing, and the first blossoms are pushing through the decay left behind from last Spring’s bounty. It’s time to embrace the outdoors, take our cue from the flowers, and reach for the light. Over the years, I’ve created lots of art that perfectly encapsulates Spring. Inspired by gardens in full bloom, new life from old shells, and the most anticipated re-birth, I’ve curated some of my favorite pieces created in the last decade including the “Spring’s Eve” oil painting, “the “Blooms & Bones” oil painting, and more. Spring’s Eve was painted in the Spring of 2019 as a part of a series called “Botanical Fusions”. Contrasts exist in us simultaneously, like a flower that peeks out from a ground covered in decayed leaves. Inspired by the natural world and my place in it, I wanted to illustrate the beauty found in surrendering to the complexities of our own nature. Blooms & Bones was painted earlier in the same year and inspired the “Botanical Fusions” series. Its dark, rich palette embodies the rebirth within the decay. A detail of the painting is available as a pouch, the perfect accessory to your travel adventures!
Sweet Sunflower was painted in 2017 after a beautiful sunflower that flourished in my garden. I recall the joy it brought to see it every day and wanted to capture that in a painting. It’s now available as a weekender bag and outdoor pillow guaranteed to brighten any day!
Hydrangea Bush is a tiny botanical sanctuary painted in 2017 after the hydrangeas in my garden. I wanted to capture an impression of the ever-changing colors before they evolved. Take these florals to go with the accessory travel pouch!
